What is a DMARC record?
Short answer: A DMARC record is a TXT record published at _dmarc.yourdomain.com that starts with v=DMARC1 and sets your policy with the p= tag.
The full answer
The record lives at a special name: _dmarc followed by your domain. Mail servers look there automatically.
The important parts are p= (none, quarantine or reject), rua= (where daily reports go) and optionally pct= (how much of your mail the policy applies to).
You can only have one DMARC record per domain. Two records make DMARC fail completely.
_dmarc.yourdomain.com TXT "v=DMARC1; p=reject; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourdomain.com"
